The “Juridical Clinic” has begun its work at our University

The «Juridical Clinic» has started its work at Law Department at the Faculty of History and Law of the Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh.

The main purpose of this clinic activity is to provide free legal advice to individuals and legal entities.

The «Juridical Clinic» activity has been organized in the form of reception of citizens by the gifted students studying in the field of legal education, where the students carry out legal consultations and provide them with necessary legal advice, under the guidance of Doctor of Jurisprudence, Professor Qarligash Umarova. According to the needs of the population, the «Juridical Clinic» may provide advice on a particular law network, i.e. criminal, civil (labor, family relations) or general law.

The main purpose is:

increasing existing knowledge;

developing students’ practical skills;

introduction of a permanent working system that connects educational process with practice;

expanding cooperation with judicial and law enforcement agencies;

developing students’ sense of responsibility;

students’ ethics and aesthetics, psychology and psychiatry practices, independent thinking and the development of their life, spirituality.

Clinical trials from time to time in the Nukus town criminal, civil court trials, and practice are also used as an effective experience to strengthen theoretical knowledge. The clinical activity provides rich material for researchers not only for students, but also for teachers of the department.

In the future, the «Juridical Clinic» aims at establishing strong relationships with universities in the world and their legal frameworks.

For information: The clinic is located on the 1st floor of the building of History and Law Faculty of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, and receives citizens from 14.00 till 17.00 on Mondays.
